Spreads are time saving and a delicious choice not only for the everyday table. They don’t take long to make and taste delightful. Salted salmon spread with cottage cheese is both a little bit salty and sour but a perfect combination as lemon and salmon friendship is tested by time. Stir in some fresh dill, season and spread on a slice of light fresh bread. If you lack ideas on how to decorate Easter eggs, you can stuff boiled egg halves with the spread.
4-6 servings
You will need:
150g salted salmon
180 g cottage cheese
2-3 tbsp. sour cream
1 small garlic clove
1/2 lemon juice (or to taste)
a few sprigs of dill
pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper
Blend salmon slices, cottage cheese, sour cream, garlic cloves in the blender until desired consistency. Stir in the chopped dill. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper to your taste.
The spread is best to be eaten on the day of making it.
